Common Questions About STEAMworks Education
You'll begin with a 30 minute consultation with our director, Jodi Kubat. Read more about Jodi's background and qualifications here. This completely confidential consultation will cover your and your student's current academic status, specific needs, and walk you through the curriculum design process. Afterward, Jodi will recommend a STEAMworks program tailored to your needs. Once you've chosen a program, you'll set a start date, and Jodi will outline the next steps for creating your tailored plan and curriculum.
STEAMworks plans range from semester-long curriculums to year long plans and even career-level plans. Depending on your child's academic level (elementary, middle or high school) STEAMworks may recommend different lengths for your program.
Homeschool and homeschool support programs typically run year round, however that's entirely up to you. Support programs for traditional students may include summer and break supplements if you choose to add these; otherwise they will follow the academic calendar of your child's school.
All STEAMworks plans require a minimum commitment of one semester?
It depends on your plan and the level of support you and your child require. The exact cost and payment structure will be outlined when you choose a program, and communicated before entering into a commitment. We offer a range of payment options from pay-in-full to monthly payment plans. We also offer merit-based and needs-based scholarships.
Yes. In fact, we believe in encouraging and nurturing the talents and passions in all of our students, and incorporating their gifts at every level into their academic planning. Our current roster includes several students with extensive extracurricular commitments.
