Who We Help

Education for Success STEAMworks Academy
Hello! My name is Jodi Kubat, and I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I have officially opened STEAMworks Academy, which focuses on special needs students in a STEAM environment. I personally write the curriculum for each student, based on their interests and learning styles, while bridging any learning gaps.My background includes a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Mathematics Education, a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership. I am also certified in Special Education Adaptive and Consultative fields. In addition, in the field of Special Education, I am certified in Math/Science (Pre-K-12). I am also a Board-Certified Advocate for Special Education (B.C.A.S.E.), which means that I will fight for your child to receive all modifications and accommodations that they need to receive to be successful. The Guide and Decide ModelThe STEAMworks model is a new concept in collaborative schooling. Unlike traditional “hybrid homeschooling” where the parent is cast solely in the role of educator/co-educator, STEAMworks empowers both the parent and the student as decision makers. The key to this model is empowerment, which STEAMworks provides in three key components:1) Expert knowledge of the education system, from elementary foundations all the way through the college entrance process or preparing for a direct path to vocation or entrepreneurism,2) guidance in the decision process at each step, and3) a custom-designed plan complete with curriculum, resources, accountability, and assessments to track progress along the way.STEAMworks provides this framework at all crucial levels of education, from standards and requirements to curriculum tailored to the student’s aspirations and capabilities, personality, and learning style. This customization allows for the student to incorporate their enrichment activities, natural talents, and passions into their education and even their career paths. And the STEAMworks model works for families that homeschool or use traditional education such as private or public school. The result? Your family is not just a cog in the wheel of a one-size-fits-all system, but a driver of your child’s education and future.
