The Guide and Decide Model
The STEAMworks model is a new concept in collaborative schooling. Unlike traditional "hybrid homeschooling" where the parent is cast solely in the role of educator/co-educator, STEAMworks empowers both the parent and the student as decision makers. The key to this model is empowerment, which STEAMworks provides in three key components:
1) Expert knowledge of the education system, from elementary foundations all the way through the college entrance process or preparing for a direct path to vocation or entrepreneurism,
2) guidance in the decision process at each step, and
